Akíni ńjẹ́ akíni; afinihàn ńjẹ́ afinihàn; èwo ni “pẹ̀lẹ́ o, ará Ìjàyè!” lójúde Ògúnmọ́lá?
(One who will greet should greet without pretense, and one who will betray should do so openly; what sense is there in saying “Hello, Ìjàyè person!” before Ògúnmọ́lá’s house?)
One should refrain from doing evil to others while presenting it as an act of kindness. In all our choices, honesty and openness should come first. True recognition belongs to sincere actions, not to empty formalities or deceptive appearances.
